ART GUIDELINES

BattleCorps is a market for official (canon) fiction set in the BattleTechÂ® universe. And because art has played such a central roll in the development of this universe, website plans call for a continuation of this legacy. As such, we will also serve as a new market for both color and black & white illustrations.

The style and substance of each art piece considered, accepted, and published will vary depending upon the subject matter and artist. However, 'Mechs and other vehicles (along with numerous examples of personal equipment, uniforms, and so on) have been extensively detailed and illustrated across dozens of sourcebooks. Art considered for publication will adhere to these aesthetics.

BattleTechÂ®, in all of its various incarnations, is a universe at war. Violence and implied violence are to be expected in many compositions. It is NOT a required element. Also, extreme violence is frowned upon, as is overt sexual content.

PAYMENT & RIGHTS

By submitting to BattleCorps, you acknowledge that any work involving the BattleTech® property is a visualization of an owned universe and that you retain no rights to your art. We purchase all rights to your art. Those rights are automatically transferred to The Topps Company, Inc..

We pay only after publication.

SUBMISSION

If you are interested in submitting art for consideration, and have not published with us before, it is best to show us a representative e-portfolio of your work. Website galleries are fine. You can also send a link to your ftp site. Send your website link or the ftp link of samples to art@battlecorps.com.

Please do NOT e-mail attachments of your illustrations to that address, as unsolicited e-mail attachments will simply be deleted. Do not send hardcopy to any BattleCorps address. We will not be responsible for such submissions.
