"The first assumption one would make about a plastic miniature is its potential lack of detail and messy mold lines. But, the plastic Thor from Catalyst Game Labs is as far from those possibilities as modern technology can bring us. The detail on the Thor is extremely high. Like no miniature I’ve seen to date. Tiny hinges on access panels are there. Every missile launcher hole is perfectly round. Armor plating angles are sharp. The shape of the various parts is exactly the way the original 3D art was designed. No pitting or warping at all."

The favorite OmniMech of the Jade Falcons, the Thor—Summoner—is a feared sight on the Lyran Alliance frontier. A mobile heavy ’Mech designed equally well for attack or defense, the Thor is a heavy-hitting OmniMech similar in build to the Loki but lacking that OmniMech’s flaws. Well-protected with ferro-fibrous armor, the Thor also possesses integral jump jets that give it unprecedented mobility for a Clan OmniMech. The Jade Falcons deployed this ’Mech three times as often as any other ’Mech during Operation Revival, and this proliferation has continued to other Clans as well. The most common configurations are designed to hurt other ’Mechs, but more recent additions to the Thor’s arsenal have kept pace with the changing battlefield of the Inner Sphere, and incorporate newer weapons to allow the Thor to compete with more modern designs.
