I purchased the 4th edition GM screen for use in my 20th anniversary rules campaign. I was hoping for a new GM screen to come out in a timely manner to coincide with the new rulebook, but that has unfortunately not happened, so I had to settle for this. My friends and I are longtime gamers and are very familiar w/ the d20 system as well as Palladium and the Hero systems, but have no experience with Shadowrun. Needless to say running a game has been a bit overwhelming for me as the system is quite different from anything we've ever played. Both magic and matrix combat are still two subjects that I am very shaky on even after reading the rulebook from cover to cover 3 times. I felt that to run the game effectively, a good GM screen would be essential to avoid having to flip through the book every 5 minutes. Unfortunately, this GM screen did not do the job. First of all, some of the information is simply outdated. Vital information like a list of free, simple and complex actions and a list of character interaction modifiers is inexplicably left out while a huge table of assensing practically takes up a whole panel and a build and repair table is included. Also, being a PDF, you have to print out the pages and either attach them to a GM screen from another game or permanently glue or tape them to a plank GM screen you have to make yourself. The additional information included can be useful, but considering the main draw to this product is the actual GM screen, I would suggest that you save your money and just photocopy the tables from the book to build your own GM screen and wait for an updated GM screen to come out at a future time.
